Everton may part with their captain Phil Jagielka at the end of the month, admitted the manager Ronald Koeman.
The experienced defender recently found no place among the holders where Ashley Williams and Ramiro Funes Mori are preferred and although he is in his 10th season at the club, it may be the last one for him at the Goodison Park.
`If he is going to leave? I do not know. It all depends on whether there is interest in Jagielka. In recent weeks, he has not started, and we are talking about the master of the team. He can`t be satisfied with what is happening, and that is a good signal because a player has to fight for the place and made the task of the manager difficult.`, said Koeman.
There is an interest in Jagielka from Sunderland, where he can be reunited with his former manager David Moyes, but the prospect of playing in the team that is fighting for a survival maybe does not appeal to the player.
The situation around Gerard Deulofeu also remains unclear, despite the interest from AC Milan to him. Still, an agreement cannot be reached.
Koeman is hoping to strengthen Everton with more players by the end of the month, having already brought Lookman and Morgan Schneiderlin to the team as the first one even scored in the victory over Manchester City.
