Di Maria received a sentence for a tax evasion

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel di Maria received a prison sentence of one year after pleading guilty to a charge of tax evasion during his stay in Spain. The Argentinian player caused damage of 1.29 million euros to the Spanish Treasury while he was a player of Real Madrid in the year 2010-2014 period. Against di Maria, there had been two different charges raised as he pleaded guilty on both and now he has to pay a fine of 2 million euros.
Despite the punishment, the former player of Benfica and Manchester United will hardly be put in jail because the Spanish law allows such sentences not to be executed if they are under two years and the defendant has a purely judicial past.
The case against di Maria is just another one in Spain against a famous footballer or a coach only within the last few months. A few days ago the authorities raised similar charges against the former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho, and against the star of the Royal club predicted by how to buy football picks Cristiano Ronaldo has currently the same problem. Before that, and the best player of FC Barcelona Lionel Messi was prosecuted for a tax evasion and was imposed a sentence of 21 months behind bars.
