Openysheva with seven medals, Egorova six medals and Astashkina four

Russia won eight of the 11 gold medals at the final via football live stream session of the European Games Swimming competition at Baku 2015.

Chupkov made a junior record 1:00.65 to win the 100m breaststroke, before Astashkina who won her fourth gold of the Games, in the women`s 100m breaststroke.

Great Britain had a success at men`s 200m freestyle with Duncan Scott who won the gold from lane six after he was leading from the first turn.

Than Maxine Wolters won the women`s 200m individual medley for Germany.

Pakhomov won the men`s 100m butterfly but he was over half a second down on his best record , before Ziv Kalontarov from Israel who won the men`s 50m freestyle.

"I am going to Rio and I`m going for gold," said Kalontarov. "I`m really, really, happy."

Nikolay Sokolov won more gold for Russia in the men`s 400m individual medley and the men`s 4x100m medley.
