Russia won eight of the 11 gold medals at the final via football live stream session of the European Games Swimming competition at Baku 2015.

Polina Egorova took her fifth and sixth golds, while Maria Astashkina won her fourth and Arina Openysheva her seventh- making her the most successful Russian across the Games.

There was also another Russian world junior record for Anton Chupkov in the men`s 100m breaststroke, his compatriot Daniil Pakhomov did not manage to improve, he broke two times on Friday in the 100m butterfly.

Egorova was on the third position at women`s 100m backstroke final via football live stream but she fought her way back to win for 1:01.19 and then repeated the feat at the 50m butterfly.

"I am very happy. I imagined I could take a gold in the main distance but I didn`t imagine this result," said Egorova after adding her 50m butterfly to the 100m backstroke gold.

Chupkov made a junior record 1:00.65 to win the 100m breaststroke, before Astashkina who won her fourth gold of the Games, in the women`s 100m breaststroke.

Great Britain had a success at men`s 200m freestyle with Duncan Scott who won the gold from lane six after he was leading from the first turn.

Than Maxine Wolters won the women`s 200m individual medley for Germany.

Pakhomov won the men`s 100m butterfly but he was over half a second down on his best record , before Ziv Kalontarov from Israel who won the men`s 50m freestyle.

"I am going to Rio and I`m going for gold," said Kalontarov. "I`m really, really, happy."
