Formula 1 sporting director Ross Brawn has confirmed his resignation. According to Brown, for the next season he will no longer participate in the leadership of the racing series.

Also, in his last column for the official website of the championship, Brown hinted that he was going to retire - thereby indirectly refuting the information that he could return to Ferrari as a head.

I loved my job. Loved doing all this in recent years. I lost the desire to be part of the team - I decided that enough was enough for me. And working in Formula 1 was the only thing that could be an exception. And I was very lucky that Liberty gave me such an opportunity. Now the time has come to retire.

We have done a lot of work, and now the period of consolidation has begun. In 2026, we are waiting for the transition to new cars, but it will be only in four years - for me it is too long. So it`s better to have another group of people handle the next project. I think I leave Formula 1 in good condition.

I have enjoyed almost every minute of my 46 year career and have been fortunate to work with so many great teams, riders, people. And I would not change anything in my career. Now I will watch F-1 races on the couch, like a regular fan, said Brown.
